Customise the identifiers for shipping options

This article explains how to customize the identifiers that Paazl uses for shipping options. This is especially useful if you want to update or change shipping options, but do not want to make any changes in your (REST API) calls. Also if your label provider uses fixed shipping option identifiers.

To make Paazl compatible with the shipping option identifiers you use in your own warehouse system, you can replace Paazl's internal identifiers with your own. To do this, log in to your Paazl web app account and follow the steps below.

Technical notes

The following restrictions apply to the names you give identifiers:

• Identifier names can be no longer than 255 characters.
• Identifier names can only contain alphanumeric characters (0-9, a-z, A-Z), hyphens (-), and underscores (_).
• You can use either Paazl identifiers or custom identifiers in REST API calls.
• You can save both Paazl and custom identifiers to the Paazl database.
• The (REST API) POST shippingOptions and POST pickupLocations calls will return custom identifiers when these exist.
